A Yuletide Poem

Christmas

A reflection of one's soul
On a single Christmas ball
Hanging on the tree so tall
There, at the end of an empty hall

Then, everything became familiar
Laughters and cheers fill the air
Children are singing everywhere
While some are wrapping gifts to share

Colorful Christmas lights in every corner
Simple decorations are every where
This is the only time they feel life is fair
Without thinking if someone does care

A little girl is sitting by the window
Watching people come and go
She notice a girl held by her father
And gazed as they walk away together

Then tears fell down as she opened her eyes
It’s sad to be alone and now she realize
Santa couldn't grant the only wish she asked
Because even He cannot bring them back.
