How dark is black
If one can't see
Through a child's eyes
So blissful with glee
How warm is a hug
For a lonely orphan
Longing to be loved
And cherished by someone
How loud is the silence
In this crowded room
If no one listens
In any of the tune
How painful is the wound
With no bloodstains
Instead, traces of tears
From the eye remains
How someone can be so cruel
Not to understand at all
How can selfishness rule
Inside somebody's soul
If one can't see
Through a child's eyes
So blissful with glee
How warm is a hug
For a lonely orphan
Longing to be loved
And cherished by someone
How loud is the silence
In this crowded room
If no one listens
In any of the tune
How painful is the wound
With no bloodstains
Instead, traces of tears
From the eye remains
How someone can be so cruel
Not to understand at all
How can selfishness rule
Inside somebody's soul
